It's so true...I'm a hunter myself, and as many great opportunities that arise as I'm out in the woods or around the duck pond, it's rare the camera is handy or practical. I have started carrying my camera more and more in recent years, but a body and a couple of lenses, esp. a long tele, can add a lot of weight to a pack. Thanks for the review Lee!

Great picture of a wood duck, they are one of the most beautiful ducks in my opinion.
When I used to hunt I would drift down the Pouder River in early hunting season and I would almost always find a group of woodie sitting on some exsposed tree roots in the river....very beautiful but I never took a camera with me.
You have a very good picture here.

Kerry, they are very common in my area (Wild) but can't get them to sit still long enough for a pic. Even with camo and a blind, they are tough to get a goood clean, crisp pic. You Did it Bro, congrats.

Yes, he's wild, but a migratory inhabitant at a waterfowl refuge, so relatively used to people and cameras. I know what you mean tho', they are so rare and wary, especially around home here, as they are very uncommon visitors in this flyway. Thanks Jim,

Oh Kerry, what a catch. Wood ducks are on my hit list, and I don't know if your guy is wild or domestic but you know as well as I do that if he is wild, they are one hard bird to catch for a pic and you got him good.
