I actually WANTED to emphasize his tattoo myself..I loved it. As far as rock and roll rebels not having a clue...This young man is a college grad.And an AMAZING artist. Don't believe all Sterotypes Grant.... :> Thanks for commenting..

Nice! The muted colours work well. Did you oversaturate the colours on his tattoo? That would be a very vivid tattoo if it was a natural colour. Nicely put together, and the background to me has the feel of a closeup of an eye, is that intentional?
Good composition, well done.

You've done an excellent job of highlighting his face despite the fact that he seems to think his tatoo is more interesting. I really like the background. Great job of making the standard rock'n'roll rebel without a clue shot work.
