About . . . not really a sunburst exactly, but I do like the ambiguity of this shape in b&w. At least it's different from most of my recent postings, and I do like to mix it up. (Guesses welcome ;-)

Thanks, Ken. The link is http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/83984.html
The work is by Salvador Maria Lozada. I think the structures he shows are very interesting, although they technically are not as good as they should be. Since I have never visited India, I am always excited by seeing the sights. --g

George,

An unusual black hole indeeed. The black spot tries to engulf me when I try to look into it.

Interesting work.

My guess is the downside of a lampshade and I wrote that before I peaked at the next comment, George.
Whatever it is, it is well composed and the round figure seen behind the whatever it is adds to this composition.
Thank you for your kind words about my "Yelow hibiscus" and my "Hibiscus (detail) on lamps."
Best regasrds,
Rafi

Yes, it is a lampshade of sorts, but it hangs down from the ceiling. It's big, probably 5 feet across and, as you can see from the color version, it does resemble a sunburst. --g

Bit of a diversion for you, a good abstract diversion - it's possibly a lampshade or maybe.... well I don't know! I like it anyway.

a lamp of some kind or hanging one? But really it's a close up view of a black hole sucking in the stray light that got to close. one hell of a tele photo !

Dear George,

Great perspective on B&W.

J. Luiz

P.S. I took the freedom of offering you (to dedicate it) the simple and pure version of the " cascade ". This is a simple gift.
Thanks for sharing my photos, again.
