Hi Michael,
Would you mind if I use this photo on my grade 12 physics final exam? I can have them write about the position of the object with respect to the focal length of the curved lens. My more artistic students will appreciate the opportunity to apply scientific concepts to beautiful photos! Melody

Hi Michael,
You have so many really original and creative shots in your portfolio.

This one is excellent!
It turned out great, worth the effort!

Fabio:

Thanks. This took about 10 tries to get right (fingers out of the way, correct exposure, manual focus) and my arm was getting tired from holding the ball out there for 10 minutes.

Great!

I like this picture, very creative use of the crystal ball.

Good idea and realization.

Congrats. Fabio

Yes it is such fun - this is a great composition, fabulous clarity through the paperweight. I did a couple of similar things, one 'Tipsy Reflections; which was just reflections in a clear [not solid] glass ball and 'When The World Turns Upside Down' which is more like your, which was taken through a magnifying glass
