This reminds me of a book I read in the 70's "The man who liked Snails". If i remember right he came to a sticky end.

Great portrait David. Regards John

David this is A terrific portrait!!!
The man looks completely at ease surrounded by his treasured snails!
Using wide aperture insured that both the man and his snails are equally sharp
Excellent use of available light and good toning!! But what really makes this image click is that everything leads to the mans generous smile!

well done! 7/7

David,

This comes across to me as an excellent, light-hearted, character study. Humour without any malice. Barry is clearly very proud of his snails.
Am I right, or have I miss-interpreted?

Andre
