Fantastic photo, Judi! I really love the road, on the path of hardship...to the "Window of Opportunity". You did a great job with the clouds, the rays of the light shining through the window panes and beyond. It just gets better and better. The black & white leading you toward the color inside...reminds me of, (besides "The Wizard of Oz." lol), "Every cloud has a silver lining." One doesn't see those either, not at first. Not until the time is right. I love the dollhouse window, (you started my own photo imagination going on some new ideas, thank you), and the textured blue you used for it too. Super Work! Bravo!
Best Wishes, Teresa

well... I am ALWAYS prepared to be wrong :)
In fact... the fact that it is a doll's house window makes my point even more... (to me anyway!) .. children have the right to not take stuff too seriously - and we should all take a leaf out of their book once in a while :0
great job with that window though - i was convinced that it was computer generated in some way... - even more karma to you for taking a real window (even 2" high) and making such a bold and surreal statement with it!
Once again... wow!

Yes Steve you are right....sort of. Yes I wanted an animated version of the window to portray that the window of opportunity isn't something you see in reality....more in your thoughts. If you know what I mean.
But in another area you were wrong. This is actually a photo of a window. I will include it with this image. I was looking around for a suitable window for this image and remembered my daughters doll house. So I took it outside and took a photograph of it. The window itself is only a couple of inches high. LOL!!
Thankyou so much for your flattering words too.

Hey Judi :)
i've been staring at your image for quite a while ... first and foremoest - wow - serious cngrats on the PS skills here - awesome in execution... no overuse of filters - just enough work to make the point.
I really wanted to say that i didn't really like the window - I wanted to say it's a little 'cartoonish' - but I find myself not being able to say that at all - I find myself thinking that that is the whole POINT...
To me - after a long look (and more over-analysis), the point of the image seems to be screaming out that - "when the time is right, look closely...and you will see" that - if we just take life a little less seriously... (denoted by the cartoon-ness (is that even a word?) of the window) ... then (and only then?) the opportunities will arise.
there's definitely a meaning there.. i don't know if that's anywhere near what you meant....but that's what it seems to means to me.
I'll bet you there are a lot of other UF'ers out there that are quietly thinking they would have liked to have seen this image with a photo (rather than a picture) of a window... that's what i first thought too.... but since you've given us this interpretation (and - of course it IS your interpretation of YOUR work that matters!) - I am now convinced that this is the right one. (not that that matter any of course :) )
After all... if it were not - it would have certainly inspired much less thought and much less (quiet) debate :)
Well done
Steve
