About Ballet Pro Musica program at the Savannah Music Festival, Lucas Theater. During my recent visit, I had an unanticpated opportunity to photograph a few moments from the upper balcony. I will probably post a few more of these images. (Handheld, stage lights only, 1600 ISO, @ f5.6, 1/80. Only PS was sharpening and cropping, no smoothing.)

Thanks, Rafi. Over many years, I have taken thousands of stage photographs in my line of work. Those were all on film under stage lights but with much more controllable conditions. In one instance, I was shooting an opera at a photo-call with the team of the legendary Martha Swope. The occasion of the current pictures was exhilarating but very challenging. --g

Excellent dance photo, George. I've also done some stage photo, hand held with stage light, so I know how difficult it is, but I received no permission to post the photos.
for some reason I didn't receive an e mail about your comment about my "Fantasy with Ginger", but I noticed it under the photo and thank you for it.
Best regards,
Rafi

I would also rotate it to have lines of the floor parallel to the base off-centering a bit too; a great shot however

The difficulties of managing the challenge the shot posed is more evident here than in the previous upload - falls a bit short from the excellence of the first shot.
But even so, it?s very nice to see Pas de Deux #2
Cheers,
C

Well done George, not easy photographing in a theatre I know.
You have caught just enough motion blur to suggest movement without getting the whole lot blured, perfect choice of shutter speed.
