About kaNikkonna, known in Kerala, this flower is the state flower of Kerala. Usually blossoms by mid-April, this flower is a common sight everywhere. Most of the households here should have at least one plant here. If it blossoms before April, as in this year, drought is predicted. This plant has many medicinal values.
