Thank you for your comment. There was no other point of view. If I had taken the shot with a fish eye lens (which I didn't have, sob....) I could have gotten close enough in front of the large pool to include the slight strip of beach (almost non-existent in this spot) which would also have included the lounge chairs that would have turned the photograph into a commercial image. And it just would have been a different shot. Sometimes, some obstacles cannot be overcome. But, I really appreciate all the input around this image. Very nice to hear...Have a great day, Andree

Now this is some beautiful landscape over in the West Indies. I like the fact that you got all of the palms in here but at first glance it does appear to be bottomless, now after reading your comments under this image I understand why it is. I think I might have found a different POV where I could show the beach the trees and even the palm pavillions without the people or the pool. Love the colors and the dreamy setting!

Storms can give us some of the most beautiful cloud formations, I think there just awesome to view, This shot is great, I could pull up a chair and watch this well into the rain that I'm sure followed.
I like the way the trees are exposed here as they have just enough light to keep them from being silhouettes and the colors add much to this composition.
Very well done and thank you for sharing this with us.

Dear Bryan. I did not take your comment as criticism. In fact, I probably will get a totally opposite opinion from someone else. As an artist one has to decide how to take suggestions. Again, thank you my friend. Andree

Yes I meant clone them out - must have come accross somewhat confusingly. Glad you don't mind suggestions too much - it is often very difficult to make suggestions for improvements with such a high standard of photogaraphy. Please point out improvements on my photos as well where you see them - it's the only way really to improve - even though no-one really likes to hear criticism...

Thanks for your comment Bryan. I can't cut off the edge of the image, it would destroy the symmetry and crop too much of the tall palms. I guess I could use the clone tool and take it off. Thanks for making me think about the composition. Your friend, Andree

Andree, Very pleasing. The repeated patterns of the trees and the shades are what really makes this photo work. You may want to try cloning out the cut off tree branches at the sides, as they make me just want to see more of the picture ;-). Very good shot.

A fine combination of shapes and colours. I like the row of sunshades along the bottom (but guess Joe is right about the intruding head...)

Hello Joe: You have an astute eye to notice the lady at the bottom, which can easily be removed with the clone tool in PS. However, the composition is very tight because I did not want to include the swimming pool in the foreground and want to convey a sense of symmetry to the image. I appreciate your comment. Your friend in art, Andree.

Nice beach! I love the colour of the image especially the water! But the composition is the only problem i see. The bottom seem cut off and the head of a lady is inside is distracting. No offence! Cheers!

Best regard Joe!
