About	The humble House Sparrow feeding in our garden. A fairly common site (in my garden at least) although I understand their numbers have fallen drastically in the last few years. It's obviously mating/fighting season and a pair of sparrows today were so taken up in their activities that they flew straight into me! Perhaps that's why their numbers are reducing? But they do make useful subjects for practicing with the new lens.

I have been trying to get one of the birds around here. So far, it's not working out. I'd love to get one as good as this. The detials on the bird are wonderful.

We have so many of them around our house Neil. They do seem quite aggressive to each other at times. Great shot even if it is only practice. Just think of what you'll come up with when you get proficient (Hehehe)
