The lesson was conducted in the gentleman's living room lit by a few shaded incandescent bulbs. So there was not much light control. On top of that, I brought with me a rather heavy lens, that even wide-open did not allow to get shutter speeds above about 1/90. There was no place to set up the tripod, hence a lot of camera shake.
I had a chance to come back again and shoot some more photos. Second time around I brough a much lighter lens, which allowed for better results.
