About
This is on a dry lake bed in a remote part of Death Valley, CA, called "The Racetrack" because of its mysterious moving rocks, as evidenced by the trails they leave behind. The prevailing theory is that under the right conditions, when the playa is wet and slick after a rain, heavy winds can push even very heavy rocks (they weight up to 700 pounds). I should have cropped some of the left, but it was too much trouble.
