Yes, that thistle shot is stunning. But here in Australia the thistle is a weed. Is it classified as a weed in USA. But with my Scottish heritage the thistle has a special place. Bruce

Wow -- I never saw how they bloom before. Excellent detail here even to the spider webs connecting leaves. What a contrast between the soft fluffy looking flower and the spiny leaves! Love the lighting and blurred background. A beautiful study in greens! My mom and I use these leaves in dried floral arrangements because they are so unique -- donated by an arboretum in Santa Cruz, CA which has a number of Australian plants growing.
