About
Wish I could say this was captured in flight, but alas, it was a static display. Being static, I had plenty of time to compose the shot, so hope you like the composition. I did add a little motion blur to the prop in photoshop. I wanted to avoid the hangers coming from the cieling to the upper wing. The bracing that you do see is part of the support structure of the wings as far as I know. Oh Pete! Thought this was one of those "seconds later, the photographer was killed" photos. Nice work isolating the Stearman from the surroundings I like it. A friend of mine had one of those years ago. It was fun to ride in.
Great shot of the old bird, Pete, looks pretty real! At first I thought you had a job as a crop duster's flagman (not that they use them anymore)! Dave.
Pete, this is fantastic! I thought it was taken during flight until I read your about. The blur effect is good and I think you can remove the bracings which overlap with the sky easily.
