I captured this unusual cloud formation today. Looks a bit like a whale. The reason I took this pic is because the tubular shaped cloud looks like a rotor or roll cloud,which signifies a very dangerous area of tubulent air that can rip a light aircraft apart or throw it around like a rag. I'm not sure if this is a genuine one, but if I was flying my aircraft I wouldn't like to find out (it was very windy on the ground)
I did use PS to change the light levels so as to show the shape of the cloud a bit better. I realis this has made it somewhat grainy but I don't think it detracts from the image.
I can see the whale Neil, but not like the ones we saw in Alaska. I can imagine how daunting it would be to be flying towards one of those. Great capture. Den
