About Same info as the previous image:
Captured this friendly guy at Lake Martin, Louisiana last weekend. It was a cloudy, gloomy day and not the best for outdoor photography. So I just made the best of it. Nikon D100, Nikon 300mm with Kenko 1.4x Teleconverter, ambient light only, ISO-200, 1/20th second @ f/8. Taken from my truck window.

Nice little bit of catchlight in the eye. A really great shot. Excellent detail. Background colors are similar to the owl but you pulled him out nicely.
I see the portable "hide" is still working just fine.

Beautifully exposed and eally sharp shot ,all I would have done differently is cropped a bit tighter either side.

Ronnie, this is gorgeous. I love owls and this is just so crisp, you can feel the cold in the air. I think the gloomy sky helped (acts like a giant softbox). Great capture!
