You are right Márcia She was a strong personality and mysterious as she looks. She was an encyclopaedia too.
Thank you for your comment

Thank you very much. The lady herself was a mystery. She was drinking coffee in my place in Toronto when I noticed the light coming thru the window and took the picture. She was a great artist by the way. She was my neighbour and a good friend. No one else had taken a picture of her.
This was scanned from a photograph. It is possible to see some specks. I do not notice them here and have not Paintshop. PhotoShop would correct that also.
Yes, always developed and print all my black & white. There was time I even print colour which I gave up long time. Cheapper in the Lab but just for fun of it.
I still love to play with B/W which give me a great challenge

There is a lot of mystery in this lovely portrait. The three dark round objects... her eyes and her ring really make this photo for me. The out of focus foreground with the focus on her eyes is just perfect to create the effect of mystery.

There does seem to be specks on the black.. I would bet it is your scanner. I removed some of those specks on my recent uploads (scanned from prints) by using the 'despeckle' and the 'salt and pepper filter' in my Paintshop Pro 7. That filter does wonders. Some people have used a program called Helcion or Neat Image to take out the noise.
Are you doing your own developing now, too? Or have you always been?
