On seeing the image displayed, I have to agree. It has come out much darker than the original photo, I may have a play around in PS (in which I am honestly useless!) and try reposting to see if I can adjust the light levels.

Nice view and an interesting hue to the sky.
The darker tones are so dark there is little or no detail in the trees though and the image is a little soft. This may be what you were after. i will say though that to me i feel it needs a point of interest or something that takes you into the picture.
