Thanks Judi, I can wait a few more days. It's to tough for me while I'm cooking. I get a couple of minutes here and there then I run back to the kitchen to cook a few more meals and back and forth like that all day and all night. Thats my life at times. Which I why my commenting is down at times. I'll catch up with you on Friday or Saturday or when you return. Hope you have a good time.
Jim

Jim, it is 10-09am Wednesday morning. I leave for three days on Friday 5-00am. If you send it after that I won't be able to answer you until I get back on late Sunday. I am online all day today if yoiu need to chat. If it makes it easier do you have Yahoo or MSN messenger? That way we could chat a lot freer.

Thanks Jeff, yup I'm still stuck on the Tamron but not for long. I'm going to upgrade to a canon 70-200 f/2.8 (No Image Stabilization, I don't think it's woirth an xtra 600.00 US) and use a 2x extender to get me out to 400 mm. The Tamron just has too many deficiencies unless you are using it for close up work. Poor focus and clarity especially when set at infinity. I do expect some depth of field when set at infinity and I dont get it. If you look close at a few of my last photo's, the forground is just not sharp, so it's either focus on the foreground and loose the backgound or vice versa. I have tried to split the difference and just dont like it. I know the canon L glass will be exceptional in this area. Plus it rounds out my lens collection:)

I would have said late afternoon light, either way it is amazing. Such a warm peaceful scene. The light give a lot of depth to the wooded area. Alison
