You did a great job on this one! Nice framing, and the light adjustment is lovely. Seems just right. If you take it too far, it can start to look obvious. I think this is well-composed and a keeper. Antonia

Your edited image is really wonderful, Karen! You did a great job of brightening up his face and removing distracting background clutter. Good work with PS! He is a really cute little fella- maybe he will grow up to be an artist... not a starving one, I am sure!!!

You were right to clone out the blue bar of shaded background from his face as well as the little dot further down! Good job!!

I think the composition is wonderful . . . and the mood and subject great! I agree the face can be brought out more with PS. I wish your posted image was a little bigger. I think you can brighten up the face using a high pass filter and then manually choose a bright flesh tone (like a highlight on the ear) to airbrush a new layer of soft light on the face.
