About A provocative photograph is one that generates critic that is both good and bad. There will be those of you who find this photo disturbing because of the garbage in the right hand side of the photo. There will be those of you who overlook the trash and only see the beauty of a wonderful sunrise. It is my hope that this photo equates provocatively.
Let me know what you think. After all, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

With so much to think about in the image I wonder why you put the distracting frame on it. It would offer ( imho ) a much stonger comentary without the ragged border. Great shot anyways!
Take Care,
Mike

James, The sky is truly beautiful. It's a shame that folks trash the beach. You, however, couldn't possibly tidy up the area and still get the shot. I say you did a good job. -- Debby

Thanks Giancarlo. I didn't shoot the sea because the red sky was at the wrong angle and if I shot the sea it would of cut out most of the beauty of the sky.

Hehehe...I didn't even see the trash until you mentioned it. It is not important what is in the photo but what the photo makes you feel.

It is a beautiful sunrise, Jim, and the garbage is disturbing. You've combined them in an interesting way for an image of contrasts. Probably most of us would have cropped out the foreground, but the way you did it is indeed provocative.

Of course, sunrise is beautiful.
I like this combination. I give you 7 for beautiful sunrise, and 7 too for originality.
Radim.

Beautiful sunrise photo.
The angle from where you captured it putting the sea on one side with a curved sea shore and the trees in the background is wonderful.
I like the firey colored sky.... I agree with you about the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Good work James,
Khaled.

it's very good and the combination of beauty and trash makes it special, but i personaly dislike the frame. A straight frame would be better IMHO.
