This photo was taken with a 10 dollar garage sale camera, A Nikon L35 AF , it came out just before Nikon's One Touch. These little cameras take consistently sharp correctly exposed photos as evidenced here. If you find one, buy it! The sun was patially obscured behind the Sycamore trees to emphasize the foreground shadow. This is a scan of a 4x6 print, the original looks MUCH better.
Andree, I was inspired to scan this today from your shot in Vermont, "Autumn". I'd love to see this rendered with that type of photoshop detail. Thanks for the comments. About the Nikon: Many people already know about its incredibly accurate auto-focusing system, the colors, contrast and sharpness it renders are just too good to even compare with any of the modern point & shoots. I found out by accident. It's hard to find one in decent shape, the battery doors always break. -mm
