Thanks for the nice comments. I was fortunate to have been in the desert part of the conservatory early enough in the morning that the light was raking across. This cactus was just getting a bit at the top, and the rest was lit by reflected light. I do find that to use the lensbaby properly, you really need to use a tripod, as focusing with it and holding the camera and firing the shuter takes three hands to do it right. A tripod means you only need two hands, and of course, flexing the lensbaby while on a tripod gives one much better control. I have not used the Lb at wider than the 5.6 aperture. I'll save that for another time. Might be great for portraits, though.

I've always wanted to see a photograph with a Lensbaby (outside of the Lensbabies website). I really like it. I see the glass' characteristic look. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I think I can tell plastic from glass lenses. The blurring effect is just great. Excellent lighting, too.

Mark, this is cool! I like the light on it. Looks a little prickly to me!
