About Moments there are when heart and brain ring clear,
When the eyes see and when the apt ears hear
More in a second's tick than in a year --
Moments at evening when the stars lean near.

And once I thought
quick instants such as these,
That my new senses caught,
Were promises of vivid days to be
When I should stand grown up,
And brave, and full of careless, flaming song,
And free.

Those days have never come.
And now I know
That in this world of ours
Such moments never grow
Into a day--
Not even into hours --
They are as rare and brief as desert flowers....

Thanks Cheryl. This is one of the two images entered in the art exhibition that I mentioned in the "Muse" image. It was printed large on fine art paper (photo fine art paper that is) and framed professionally. We were thrilled with how it came out, and of course Rachel is so proud to be featured, especially after her sister Sarah was getting all the glory on Youth....lol. Antonia

What a haunting image and poem Antonia. I love the collage here - the fading is perfect on her. Great job.

It will be really great if you fade the lower part of her body, she will then truely appear to be in the sky.

Very good work. I do not like colage works much. They seem artificial most of the time. But this seems a piece of art. Thanks for sharing.

Great idea to use a reflection. You can get some great other-worldly images from natural reflections alone. But, then adding another image... even better. Your work is always interesting.

Hi Toni, In this case, I think B&W is the only justifyable choice...:) Very well postprocessed, resulting in a well balanced and inspiring image. The atmosphere is modest and very spiritual. Maybe the latter is a pavlov-ed reaction to the hooded girl, though. Excellent job!

Cheers,

Hugo

Toni, the composition that you've done here with the text that you added is full of feelings.. The best way would to look at it while someone read the text.
Anyway the text suits well with your work, and the eye of the child. I feel the lost in your image..
This is really well done
Congrats Toni

So as not to spoil the sentiment, I'm placing my explanation here in this comment> This is a blend of two images. The sky and branches are reflections in the water.
