As for the cactus - no unfortunately we don't have any (only small ones in a flower pot to put in your house - maybe that's why I like them so much :-)

This has excellent detail and lighting. I think the center of interest is what you have focused on..I have cropped the image a little. see if you like it.

excellent cactus picture. Great colors,details and sharp...I mean the sharpness of the 100mm macro lens. It is an excellent lens (I am using the same with my D10) Your portfolio is admirable.
