You look like your posing for a Greek god sculpture here Dan, a shot for your mug on some denomination on currency, or a Supreme Court justice portrait, your so serious looking. it could use a little bit more light on the right side. It?s a great shot in terms of textures though. it?s just that the expression and lighting is stone cold.

I think this one looks like some kinda military portrait. The expression seems to hard and stiff.. Try to relax with yourself.
You can avoid smiling if you want without looking too serious.

it certainly is a good selfportrait but at the same time it is a serious one. I like your home made lighting system. Maybe you should move a liitle further away from the BG...Looking forward to seeing a more happy looking Dan in the not so distant future...
