Pleased you read my input in the forum, i think i'm in a minority with my wishes, but not to worry. At least YOU read it, and i tried :)
I like this image of yours for a couple of reasons. Today has been the hottest day of the year so far here (32?C) and very humid, so looking at your photo it's nice to have that "cool" feeling :) I was going to comment on "Uncertainty" but it doesn't look real to me. The flare i mean :) Maybe i'm wrong, if so i'm sorry. Anyway this image is probably the same fence, or could be. You've chosen a nice angle. Bet you don't get that many mornings like this in Australia :) or maybe i'm wrong again.
I see you also have a lightning photo. I tried that a couple of weeks ago and posted one as well. I'm hoping tonight we will have some action with lightning and thunder so i can try again. Practice makes perfect they say :)

Congratulation for the award David, yeah it is a merit for this BIP.exellent perspective and use a correct DOF to show a dreamy day.the expose is good , we can tough few rays of sun on the wood and so it is possible to touch the atmosphere in this shot. nice composition and croping, bravo!

'Best' is such a changeable thing and it may be just your favourite for todays's mood. Still a BIP says it's best too so ...
It is superb and has much to appreciate, the composition starting with the wires at each left hand corner, the focus and lines leading to the misty backdrop, and the hoary frost clinging to everytthing. Cold and crisp with such a nice fresh atmosphere and hints of warmth in the sky.

Hi David, The freezing temperature is almost tangible, but there are plenty more strong elements in this photo. The composition, using the perspective to emphasise the vast emptiness of the landscape, the details in the frosted fence, as well as the lighting and the tones. All elements fit perfectly together, creating a very consistent and powerful image. Excellent capture, and congratulations on the BIP....:)
