I'm not from Iceland either, I'm Austrian, but like to travel have visited Iceland in summer 2003. Akureyri is the "capital" of the north (15.000 population) and the church was built in 1940. One of the windows comes from the cathedral of Coventry, destroyed by the Germans at the beginning of WW2.

Great shot, Markus! When I saw the picture I had no idea where it was and noe I know why - Iceland! I don't know a lot about your country, although I am also european, but from the south - Portugal!
