Great shot of your favourite bird, Neil! Hope you keep a print in your logbook for that future time when you've gone through a few planes, and you'll still have the memories of this one. Nice shot of the cathedral, even if it's a bit misty, shows you the potential available to you. Dave.

Cagatay,
I am as you say very, very lucky to have the privilege of flying around the country that I love. I keep my fingers crossed that I will be able to do so for a long time.
Many thanks for your comments and I also wish you, your family and friends happiness in this New Year.
Neil

As we approached Salisbury Cathedral (at about 1500ft) I opened the large window on the right hand side of the Auster to be able to take photos without the dreaded perspex in the way. We got positioned just nicely and managed to take a few of the Cathedral as we passed. Unfortunately what I had not take into account that the dreadfully cold air outside caused the lens to mist, and as a result most of the photos cameout with a dreadful hazy effect. This was the best of the bunch - and the mist still hadn't cleared long enough for the Autofocussing to work properly.
Next time....
