Hi Matt. Thanks very much for your feedback. I agree, the shot is appealing but I felt it was missing what I love getting from the street "un je ne sais quoi!". I have enjoyed the studio and will keep doing it. However, I learn from this experience that I enjoy a lot more taking pictures outside. And this for multiple reasons: 1. You do have to learn how to master the light (which is a good thing) or you have to have access to very expensive material (which makes a tremendous difference). 2. You have to be extremely imaginative when asking the models to pose for you and have an excellent model. I always like to take "moments" not "poses". Anyway, I would recommend doing it. There is a lot to learn about light but about yourself as well. It was for me! Thanks for your great feedback. Edith

Edith, Good to read your 'about' for this photo. Clearly the other 3 critiques at this time paid no attention or had no opinio. So, my thoughts.... I could see you'd now come into the studio, based on your upload pre this one. That had a slightly static look, although dancing it did come across stiff. This however is much better. From my observations, for studio shots you need to be a master of lighting as you can not rely on ambience to lift the shot. I find this shot appealing, but not sure if it's anything more. Pose is nice, composition is good and to my liking using a tight crop. I think more time in teh studio and using this model will serve you well. I'd love to hear how you've found the studio as it's something i'm interested in trying also. Kind regards Matt
