About This picture was taken at the same time as my earlier Aurora pics. The only post processing done was to apply the auto level feature in Photoshop. And yes the clouds really were a strange yellow colour to the South, to the North the Sky was many different colours. If interested see my earlier shots of the Aurora and thanks for looking.

Thank you Marilyn for your praise. I'm still very much of a novice in the subject of astrophotography, I'm sure your English friend would have waxed lyrically about our British weather so I don't have too many opertunities to point my camera skywards. I've just taken a quick look at your ornithological pictures, and as Steve Bowden has said in one of his comments, they do look like they should be adorned on the front cover of the National Geographic.

Best Regards

Nidge.

Nigel, Your portfolio is amazing. Love all your solar shots. I love the night sky with stars and planets. One night (on the way back from Miami International picking up my friend from England) we stopped at a roadside park stood out in the Everglades in the pitch dark and we stargazed and what an amazing sight. Thanks for sharing your photos. Marilyn

Very unusual looking. The exposure is good in this photo. However, it wouldn't look so grainy if it were taken with a film camera. The stars came out good in this picture.
