About I always take a few days and explore the lesser known spots of Oahu while I'm there. This place was a real find. Nestled up against the mountains in the Valley of the Temples Cemetary in Kane'ohe is a replica of a Japanese temple. It is complete with the largest Buddha, 18 feet tall, to be carved in the last 200 years or so. The day was a bit overcast and next time I'm there, I hope to catch it with a brilliant blue sky above the mountain ridge.
