About this is my last choice for my own personal best of 2004...

i choose it because i think it shows off my own style of shooting & the sometimes odd way i have of seeing the things that are around us all the time. I like the mood that is created by the holes in the growth on the walls of the tank & how the 3 fish all seem to be looking out it at the same moment. There's a sense of sadness to them in this shot & i found it cool to witness what seemed like a mood in goldfish.

all comments & critiques very welcome.

thanks!

My favorite Jen photo. So dreamy and artistic. This is one of those photos you will never grow tired of. Love the fishies..

You're right, you have a special way of seeing things. I think I'm similar, because when I see something beautiful, like a mood or feeling, I want to see how it would look as a photo. To me, they look hopeful and calm, looking out into a world that can sometimes be cold and unfeeling. Maybe we project a little bit of what we're feeling to them.

I love your goldfish shots, jennifer, unusual images that demand a second look. There is a sort of desperate tranquility here, imprisonment in slow motion, not the pacing of a caged panther, but a fatalistic "mood" as though of resignation. Good color and light (I like the light coming from above)... Very nice.
