Well, that does it! I've got to get over to Death Valley this winter. Even though the time of day was not optimum for showing the hills in sharp relief, we can still see most of the folds and undulations in the hills. There are three separate bands of tones which make this visually interesting. Beautiful.

z-point! very cool! i like your composition. good job offsetting it from the background. have you been there for sunrise? it is mindblowing! btw, when did you shoot this? access to z-point has been closed since the summer unless you walk up from golden canyon.
