About Ya, I know, could have used some Photo Shop on this one but, like Rumsfeld and the Iraqi occupation, I gotta get better prepared next time. Shot at an anti war rally (that would be Anti VIETNAM WAR rally - we just never learn) in San Francisco in 1972 - over 50,000 strong I would say. I was just a teenager but knew enough to know that the Vietnam war was unwinable and America's young, brave (and unfortunately too trusting in a mixed up Government) were being put on an assembly line of death, horrible physical and/or mental injuries and countless other negative off shoots (Divorce, Domestic Violence, Mental illness, etc) that go along with the stress of crazy wars (some even lived on my street). Before I forget, I especially want to give a "shout out" to my man Cheney who recieved 5 Deferments and missed out on all the Vietnam Combat because "He had better things to do" (his words). Also, who can forget "W" who couldn't even take the time to complete his military obligations "state side" cause...God knows why (maybe he didn't like needles and blood tests - It's all a "Medical mystery") The thing I love the most is these really tough macho guys who love wars but just don't want to be were the bullets are flying . In closing it's hard to convey the horribly deep sadness and anger I've felt whenever I've seen footage of our badly wounded men and women (over 10,000 now) at Walter Reed Hospital. The ones missing legs, arms, eyes, faces, a normal functioning brain - It's just beyond devastating. AND FOR WHAT! Terrorism? That was Al Qaeda and Bin Laden (in Northern Afghanistan and Pakistan - our new puppet Governments) Iraq is ALL ABOUT something else and if you don't know it yet you will soon enough. May the over 1,200 dead soldiers and 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilians Rest in Peace. TECH INFO: Scanned of a 3x5 proof, tightly cropped, obviously no PS used. Note to those who disagree - this is no more political than all the shots I see of American flags on UF so please don't tell me it's not a site for politics. If they can wave the flag i have a right to put up Ms. Fonda (who saved a lot of lives by using her efforts and hard , never ending work to shorten a giant mistake of a war.) Thank You. Shot with a simple point and shoot fixed lens (38mm) camera and 100 iso Kodak Neg film. For some reason this information isn't being accepted when typed in below.

Fortunately, there are people brave enough to say that the current assmembl; line of death
is just W R O N G and should stop. There is a project now trying to educate high-school students that enlistment may NOT be all the recruiter promised them. You can read more about this project at arlington west -dot- org

Dear Patrick, now that you know my age (more or less) which is no BFD and no big secret around here - only took YOU months to figure out - since I'm as far away from the stereo type as you can get. I'm an open book if you read all the stuff on my porfolio - but don't cause what your opinion is of me is about as important as a rock moving a few inches on the surface of the moon) NOW ABOUT YOU. You are SO hostile there's something going on . I've narrowed it down to "short man's complex" Height please (in Feet/inches, not metric) ? Best way to do it is just scan your Florida Driver's license (cover up the other stuff, address, etc). - Go for it hombre.......

Dear PP, Hard to be a grandpa when I gots no kids (but there's this little boy i keep an eye on named Patrick) Genius, do the math, I'm forty ...???? but I hang with younger people so subtract 10 years but add 5 cause I like Zeppelin more than Britney Spears but then subtract 3 cause I have the "Jet" DVD but add 6 cause i don't like hip hop but THEN also add 2 cause I love "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog" So, whats that come out to ?.

Dear Stan, Did SHE see it (the shot?) No (It's rather crappy and cropped very tight here). Even though she came to my college some years later and since I was on the school newspaper hung around a little and talked. She was very involved in politics (as everyone knows) but I was also studying film and thought that her and Streep were the best actresses of that time. Films like "Julia", "They Shoot Horses, Don't They" and "Coming Home" are tops in acting and film making. And NO , Believe it or not, never saw "Forrest Gump" - I like "Castaway" for Tom Hanks. Was that your questions? Take Care, Mark

Ya, for some reason people in America knew what was REALLY going on in those days - now it's all shopping and sitcoms. Very sad times.....
