About There is a flag hanging in the atrium of the building where I work. From the 2nd floor hallway, there is a window to the atrium, with the flag on the other side. I always liked the way the light filtered through the flag, and finally got around to taking some photos today.

Those turned out to be nothing special at all. But then I got the idea of zooming the lens during a long exposure. This was the best of my experiments.

NOTE: I did not intend for this to be jingoistic or political, and there is no connection to the think tank, "The Project for a New American Century." I just saw a sense of optimism in this image, and liked the title as a way of expressing it. Whether that optimism comes through to anyone but me?...

A beautiful image indeed. The beauty of the visual arts is that each person can interpret and have they're own personal relationship with the image. An image such as this can dredge up all kinds of stuff. Nice work!

Beautiful.
I'm pleased you know enough about your country to KNOW about PNAC.

Steve, I have found many of your photographs to be optimistic and inspirational... I am a firm believer that you must go with your gut. You have taken a standard image and created a positive and uplifting moment, for me, at least. Nothing wrong at all for believing, and being proud! I love your vision, here.
...Brad
