Hey Hrayr don't take it personally. I think you have a really good portfolio, but this shot just seemed to have less of interest than the others, so I wondered why you took it. (as you say, it had special memories for you...). You asked people for criticism in your bio, and I gave you my (hopefully) constructive thoughts. If people only say they love each shot, we'll never learn anything will we? I have had criticism of what I thought were my best shots, and none of my weakest! So there you go. All the best and look forward to seeing more. Cheers, Ed
Thanks, Dave. I just read Ed's comments and it almost made me loose my self-confidence as a photographer :), so your compliments were very much appreciated.
Wow! This is the first real criticism I had on this site. Well, I just like the tall green trees on the sides of the road and I have really good memories associated with this shot. Maybe it is not an artistic one, but I like it anyway. Yeah, agree about the date stamp, but I am not familiar with Photoshop enough to remove it. Regarding the lamp post, well, I tried to move it, but it was too heavy :) Thanks anyway for your comments.
Hrayr - just wondering what is the attraction of this shot? You def need to ditch the date stamp. Does the lamp post need to be there? I'd also try putting the camera on the road for more foreground and a bit more interest...Cheers, Ed
