As always, the image is technically excellent. The true essence of this photo is the metaphor conveyed by the closed buds. Judi, this seems to be almost an opposite of your image of the empty vase - beautiful on the outside but a dark void on the inside. The outward appearance of these flower buds gives no indication of the magnificent inner beauty that will be revealed at the right time.
It's easy for us to look at obvious beauty; it requires effort to see possibilities. Kurt
