About Sorry that I've neglected all of my wonderfully talented friends for the last 6 weeks...... I looked over everything that I've missed and there's so much great work. Miss you all.

I took several shots of this guy, and I prefer this one, with the focus on his instrument. HI!

Hi Brad,
I like the shot because the focus is on the instrument like the look of the musician!

I like the focus on this Brad. The instrument has superb clarity while the man's face remains softly focused however his expression has intensity that comes through loud and clear. Nice to see you back my friend. I have missed you.

Morgan, you make some pretty good points! It's nice to see that you make more than a casual observation and thanks for taking the time to look at my "stuff".

I like the intense look on his face, Brad.
You did well to focus on the violin cause that seems to be the most important this for the musician. Great crop and colours. I love it!
Best regards - Emgy

Have to say, the format works good here...and I mention that, because I have a hard time with exotic formats. I like the DOF with the focus on the instrument. Very nice shot, Brad.
Just to give you an alternative, and because the colors are a bit distracting, I'll add a different version. Hope you like it and hopefully it makes the way back on the site.

I like the focus on the instrument very much. It lets the picture speak for itself. I agree with Jeanette, you hear the music. Nice shot and nice cropping as well.

The instrument is in focus because for the man is soo concentrated - I understand it so. So there was a reason. Very well composed and i can hear his music :)

i love the composition of this photo. it's beautiful! i see that you noted that you prefer the focus to remain on his instrument, however i feel that the photo loses a good deal of energy because the musician's face is so expressive and concentrated--an with the beard and lighting and whispy hair there is so much potential that was lost by not having his face in focus. And yet, don't get me wrong--I still love the photo as is! good eye, Bradley!
