Hi Stefan,

Really good, very very good.
One of the best selfportrait I ever saw.
The best because you did something very original, wonderful idea.
I can't "see" all that "shadows stuff" you discussed with Telmo, but the shadow is perfect to a photo in rotation.

Wonderful idea.

Cheers

hi Stefan!!!!! awesome self portrait... i suppose you used the same effect as with (my beloved) Shadows project... beautiful indeed... great sense of movement with your face a steady point to focus... yes, i have to agree that "stillness in chaos" describes the pic very well but i find the current title much more imaginative... very well done... emy :)

You really managed to get awesome light on your face for a fun self-portrait! I like the idea of turning yourself around while snapping a shot... I've always wanted to try this, but on a kid's merry-go-round... same effect I bet.
The colours are really poppy as well... you rock. You are my inspiration to try new things (although it seems that it takes me a lot of practising at new things before they're any good! hahahha)

Nice self-portrait, Stefan! You got some great light in this despite the moving target!

Thanks Omar - "stillness in chaos" was one of the ideas behind this.

Stefan,
Great self-portrait! combines self portrait with abstract background. The lighting is really remarkable here.. Actually because your eyes are so calm and focussed, the spinning background does not make me feel dizzy. It has a kind of zen 'motionlessnes amidst motion' feeling!

Hey Stefan! You did a nice job on that. It's not an easy to do. Great work (makes me dizzy).

Very creative self portrait. The whirling blur behind you makes for a great backdrop!

Hello Telmo - you have a good observation about the shadows and I'm not sure I have a good answer for you. To find the blur length of the shadow you have to consider the angle the light strikes the face, and it seems to me that face-on would tend to produce less shadow blur than would light striking from the side... If my nose extends about 4 cm the blur in the nose-shadow should be around 4 mm in this image. Reasonable?

Hi Stefan, very creative touch on the background, and a original self. Nice tones. A very original shot, and good lighting. I do like the idea behind it, as well as placing you to one side of the image, putting the emphasis also on the concentric circles in the background. Nice!

Cheers,

Hugo

HIIIIIIIIII! As far as I understand this is a very interesting selfportrait!!!!!!!!!!!! A very interesting one, indeed! I don't know how many trials you did but you choose a good one! The background is very good, as you espected! ;-)))) The only thing I find strange, the samee that adds extra quality to the photo, is the shadows on your face... As your body turned... shadows should move too... they sould be less "sharp", more difuse in space... And that is an extra point in the photo, at least to me! I believe what happened is that you turned very fast (attempting on the shutter speed...) but in a short movement, and that's why light/shadow areas are so well defined....... Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
