Taken as part of a social documentary module featuring allotments. Wanted to show a different perspective but keeping the allotment garden huts in the surrounding background. What do you think?
Hi Linn, I like the confusion created by the forbidding barbwire, and the hint at a very nice place behind it. I think that works very well; it creates a good tension in this shot. The DOF obscures the garden huts just enough to create some distance between the fence and the background, whilst keeping those objects recognisable. Any more blur, and the confusing element, which makes this shot, gets lost in undeterminable shapes. Very well captured.
