Franciscan Monk, Luiz Reinke, born is Westfalia Marienfeld, Germany, came to Brazil to work at Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro state, at Saint Peter Alcantara's Cathedral, Jesus' Sacred Heart Chapel. Dedicated his time to help the ones with greater needs, especially Children and elderlies. Frei Luiz keeps in Rio de Janeiro city a home for 250 Orphan children from 0 to 18 years of age and a Home Shelter for 100 elderly people. Schooling and Medical service are offered for free for those who live at both Shelters and for the ones of the Community who asks for help. Volunteers are a great aid to those with greater needs... we have journalists, as myself and Margarida Autran and Roni Lima; Marcos Castanhola, publicist, who helps weekly on a 6 hour shift; attorneys at Law; Educators; Medical Doctors (Family Doctor, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Gynaechologists, Pediatricians, Homeopathic, Psychologists, Therapists, Shiatsu, Nurses, Dentists and multi-professionals, including Doctors, who helps Down Syndrome Unit (Meimei Group) -- who also are week Volunteers and more... all offering their help with Love to the Society with Frei Luiz' guidance. Wednesdays community attendency rates: 3,500 people/week Sunday community attendency rates: 4,200 to 4,500 people/week. >>>Thank YOU for visiting!
