Congrats on this, Carlheinz.........not my favorite of these but certainly a good one and nice to see it recognized as such. And your ecclesiastical light gives these the sense of a rock and roll anthem. Love it!

carl, know tina mcclelland? she's doing similar job to you..although she used to be an office clerk before starting concert shots...uh huh her..that type of women is gorgeous. what's unique about her is that she also takes self-portraits and there are really obsene sometimes, which also goes to her value for bravery in my mind

Hi Kevin! The 1V is great, I just miss my old lenses. The FD and especially the L-lenses were such a complete series. There was the right lens for every of my needs. Looks different with AF-lenses. E.g. 50mm, there is a 1.4 and a skyrocking expensive, heavy, slow, and out of production 1.0. In the old FD-days I had the 50mmL, 1.2 which is an fantastic lense and on top of that affordable.
I wouldn't switch back, but as always, it's a trade-off.

Hi C. Wheras I took some experimental shots with my previous triptych image of the gig, I think this one reaches perfection. The lighting not only places the guitar player in the spot light (pun intended) but also creates a very good outline of him, without compromising the atmosphere and the way he blends in with the background. As to the composition, I think the black void on the right is a tad excessive; arguably, placing the guitar player dead center could be an option here. Don't think it would affect the dynamism in this case. Very well captured!
