Dan, excellent point. I didn't notice that until it was pointed out. This discussion illustrates a "quirk" of human nature. We all have physical traits that we would prefer not to have, and any professional photographer who emphasizes those, does so at his own peril. If this height difference has been on the subject's mind, it would be a big goof. If not, it is of no consequence. The key is to quickly anticipate, and compensate. To me, this one of the critical differences between the professional and the amateur. I think this looks very professional, but to the subject, we can only speculate.
LOL Daniel. That never even crossed my mind. In the portrait, she is actually setting on his lap. I think he is usually above her in all the other pictures, so maybe he won't mind on this one )
Terry, I like the camera angle with the couple looking out into the furture, it is something I think they would like. There is a nice warm feeling in their smiles and in her hug.
If I were to change anything it would be his height. As a height challenged male myself I would prefer not to have that aspect accented. If he is ok with it, great, and disregard my comment. If it were me in the protrait, I would not say much about it, but I would spend very little money on portraits that make me look short.
