Each image is reduced from around 6000 pixels wide.

I set up shop at Liberty Memorial in Kansas City at 5:51 PM. From 6:03 to 6:09 PM the storm clouds in the west opened up and let the sun shine down on Kansas City. I stayed until dusk at 6:30, but the magic moment had passed.

These are all composites spliced together using panoramic software, and then brought into Photoshop where I brought out the brightness and contrast for the sky and buildings in seperate masked areas. Unlike some of my other photographs, the saturation on these were not enhanced.

Hi Michael, I'd opt for the UL one... The composition / division sky vs. skyline is more balanced in that one, and I think because of the more dynamic and wider tonal range, that shot is the most appealing of the four. Any shots which show slightly more of the grean meadow in the foreground? I think that would be the absolute prime choice...

Cheers,

Hugo

things change very quickly! very good composition MIchael. It is amazing when a storm is arriving... colors are greatly saturated and light conditions usually change quickly. FOr example, I have two photos in my portfolio ("It is going to be a rainy day. Quickly", and "It is going to be a rainy day. Again") both taken the same day one after 5 minutes of the previous... but they are totally different in light.

LR is my favorite but all are good.

Nice shots. I'd vote for UR. But for panoramic, LR. The sunshine off of the buildings really light up the picture.

It's either UL, or UR... the lighting in the clouds are really fantastic.
The colours seem like they have a little more contrast and vividness in the UL, although I really like the warm light and storm clouds in UR.
