Maria, Thanks for your comments. Halloween is not an easy holiday to explain. In the USA it is a holiday where children dress in costumes and go door to door asking for treats. Many families decorate their yards with things that frighten such as ghosts, grave yards, spiders, etc. I have sent you an email with a much more detailed history of the holiday thatI copied from a web site. Life's never dull in your neighbourhood is it Del? You have some real jokers there. This reminds me of a funny we had over here a few years back. You could get plastic stick ons of fingers which people used to stick below what you call the "trunk" lid of the car. Made it look as though someone was trapped inside.
