Dear Mary,
I'm not trying to refuse listening to you,in fact
what you told me has imprinted itself in my beliefs, but what i'd meant was just about this very photo of yous.

Hmm. allow me to disagree that they look alike, the man in the hoto is T. E. the same person in this image:
http://www.usefilm.com/image/450172.html

Apart from this- as I told you before - we, people, are in danger of the things we remember when these things have nothing in common, apart from out thoughts about them....Do not make yourself suffer! Thanx & bye!

I am sorry for your friend Baha, all around us there are things that remind us of good and bad things, it is important to remain not influenced by these memories and experience everything as something new. Otherwise we will connect everything to everything and this is not good for the mind, we are not free this way...
thanx for commenting

some one-very close- who is not among us any more, was a lot like the spirit this image represents to me.It really shook me.

I was going to say,"I hope you never experience such a thing." then coming to think of what it means,I bit my tongue, but then I don't want it to be the opposite,so just go through the first three lines once more.
Thanks.

leaving you arguing about focal points and centers of interest i only need to say i liked this image from the moment i opened it - and that's enough for me ;-)

I think this is rather clever. Yes, the hands do take much attention, simply because the brightest spot appears on what seems to be a thumb, and also to try and make sense of how exactly they are positioned. Of course however, for me, the first thing I always tend to look at is a person's face and expression before preceeding to the rest of the image. Here you have placed further emphasis on the hands by having the person look down towards them, leading your eyes there. There's a great sense of curiosity and wonder about life and the life thereafter. Cleverly composed, and wonderful job on the lighting. Love it~

Thanx!! I am glad you like the "Klaus effect", just joking! My previous message did not come to you, anyway Have a look at this is you like my daring approaches to light. Same model. http://www.usefilm.com/image/431395.html

Of Evangelos, and something elese i forgot to add and please let me know your opinion, For me the focal point is not always the Visual Center of the image, the protagonist in other words. In this way i do not consider a clear (it is also a bit blurred)focal point the hands, but it is always interesting to see if what I did was successful as it is not always!

Yes Evangelos sure!
T-MAX 400 /2min/f2,8/candle light
I wanted to blur all details! I disagree on the focal point which is for me the face! Even if the hands are in front of the man I wanted to give emphasis on the face! Not very successfully I guess!! I fainled in antithesis. Thanx for the comment!

Very very good. even though the face is different this image reminds me of the old German silent movie "Nosferatu". Love the lighted hands.

Dreamlight for sure.. like this abstract shot! The grain adds to the feeling i think! The blur doesnt affect me in a bad way either.. =)

Great work! =) Makes me think!

Cheers

Mary:

The problem with this is that it looks like the hands are in focus where the rest of the picture is not. That means, that the hands are becoming the focal point of the picture, yet they are barely discernible (provided that I am not making a mistake and these are still the hands!).
Also, if you provide some film info, you could explain the graininess here.
