Reminds me of Luke Skywalker practicing with the lightsabre against the orb that fired shots at him, in the original Star Wars..The fur is with thee, Kitty.

Cool Shot, thank you

Nope! That was actually easy.

My cat loves to play with these balls. To take this picture I first installed the camera on a tripod so I would get her in the frame even if she jumps high, the focus is set approximatly where I beleive she will jump.

Then on an other tripod I installed my Metz set at 1/2 of its full power so that I can get as much DOF as possible.

Last put the cat on the floor. She knows that I'm going to play ball with her... whe waits! With one finger on the shutter and the ball in the other hand I just throw the ball. I don't wait to see the cat in the air before shooting. Once the ball bounces, I press the shutter. The reaction time is so that by the time I shoot she's in the air. I'll have more. In fact I have an other one which is super, I did not set the flash properly, it is underexpose by at least 3 stops.

Ciao!

Great action shot Jean-Francois. It must have been hard to capture him this way.
