About Lucky situation, I accentuated it with filters. I think its a little on the dark side.

Beautiful colors and composition. I would change nothing about it! Sometimes that rule of thirds defies anything my eyes see, and I have to be rebellious. Congrats on a well deserved award.

Thanks Lori for you most delightful comment! I never really thought about the horizon, it felt better I guess - I think that if I did it in thirds there would have been a surplus in either grass or sky. So thirds would have indeed killed it.
Thanks again! ~ Gj

wow!! what a stunning photograph this is!
Absolutely gorgeous colors, not too much on the dark side for me!

Beautiful colors, I even like the bold centering of the horizon, which normally I do not like, but I think in this image it WORKS!

Congrats on your recognition! Well deserved!
Lori :)

I think the darkness really sets the stage for the beautiful light to make its appearance in the center. The tree on the right is a bit distracting though. Congratulations on the well deserved POD. : ) Kurt

A little late but thanks for your comment. The tree indeed does create a sense of depth, never oddurred to me to do so. In my other photo, 'barren shadow' there's also a tree in the corner, I noticed, after you said it, it also gives it a little more depth.

Cheers! Gj

Nitish! I played around with the Adobe Gamma function, indeed these pictures are now a lot darker!!! You were right. Thanks.

Very good composition and colors - beautiful light.
BTW, adjusting the gamma on your video card may help.

I like it just as it is and find the tree at the right holds the frame and gives a key for depth. There's a sense of the moody light sweeping across the scene.

A crop is indeed a good idea. I also think that my videocard displays images too dark, I saw one of my pictures on a different computer ad it was indeed very dark.

Giovanni Allievi   {K:1052} 10/12/2004
Yes, a bit dark.
The tree on the right is a bit disturbing too, crop ?

Regards,
Giovanni.

A little dark but still a great image. The green and the dark shades of the clouds are great. Nice work.
