About A fusion of color and BW. I was on a teachers protest at Lisbon, Portugal. The man was at the window and I like his expression between the iron bars... Maybe the combination colorBW ins?t the best choice... but when I thought about the captation the ideia of turning the outside to BW evolved...

It is a very nice B&W with color picture! The captured expression is just great! Congrats

Inserting true b/w creates a sense of unreality and that may be just what you want here. Since the surroundings look quite natural in b/w, another option could be simply to heavily desaturate but leave just a trace of color in.

Hi Telmo,

Well done, my good friend.

Usually I don?t like partial desaturation, but there are exceptions and this is one of them, the BW effect around him explains well his situation, really sometimes I have the same feeling and the bars are very meaningful!!! I?m happy for the POD my friend, well deserved :) Hugs, Max

Dear Telmo,

my first impression, he is looking at a fabulous looking woman in his neighborhood...sorry for simple thinking ;)

but second look and third etc. his hopeless is greatly shown, his gesture, the bars as barricade. Great

Well deserved POD!

Cheers,
Verena

Excellent. His pensive expression says it all. Wonderfully seen and presented. Well deserved POD.

I like the strong geometric shape of the window and bars. The colour -bw combo works too.

Yo! Telmo! I think that fusion is excellent, but the confusion, and tension, for that matter, created by this guy's pose is the strongest element in this shot. Composition and exposure are both very well balanced. My first impression of this shot was that it was kinda ordinary, but the longer I look at it, the stronger it gets. Don't change a thing. It's perfect the way it is....

Cheers,

Hugo
